A Morgan Hill restaurant has been instructed to pay $120,000 in fines and restitution. That’s because the employees substituted a less expensive fish, when their customers ordered a more expensive type. California health and safety laws forbid restaurants from misbranding or falsely advertising the food they serve. The seafood substitutions took place between October of 2014 and March of 2016. As part of the restitution Odeum is offering 30 dollar gift certificates to all customers who ordered Petrale Sole at Odeum during that month- and-a-half. To get the gift certificates, customers must file a claim form by may 31st of this year.
