Monterey city officials will meet today to consider imposing a vending permit fee on food trucks. In February, the city council voted to allow food trucks on every street in Monterey except Lighthouse Avenue. Businesses will able to sell in the area once they have a vending permit, as well as a business license and health permit. The vending permit, if approved, would cost $181. Three businesses have applied for the permits so far.
