Monterey county officials have announced the closure of the temporary evacuation centers at Toro Park School and the Carmel Valley Library. A daytime Evacuation Center is opening in the pavilion at Weather Tech Raceway Laguna Seca on Highway 68. It will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
An Evacuation Shelter (that is open 24 hours a day) has also been set up at Carmel Middle School….which is located at 4380 Carmel Valley Road. There are sleeping accommodations at the Shelter for up to 20 people, and that can be extended if necessary. They can also provide meals at the Shelter.
