(08:45) PACIFIC GROVE– Lover’s Point Beach in Pacific Grove has been reopened in time for Memorial Day. At the beginning of the week, thousands of gallons OF SEWAGE spilled into the water. Local water quality experts have said that the beach is now safe for swimming. The Monterey Bay Regional Water Quality Control Agency says they will be working to ensure a similar spill does not happen again in the future.
