May 11, 2016: Santa Cruz County Prepares for June Primary

(08:40) SANTA CRUZ COUNTY – Santa Cruz County elections officials are preparing for the upcoming June Primary. Residents are being mailed two voters guides this week. The first will be the state guide with information on Prop 50 and statements from U.S. Senate candidates. The second will be a county guide with information on local measures and candidates. The county guide will also include the voter’s polling place and party registration. May 23rd is the deadline to change one’s political party registration, which can be done at registertovote.ca.gov or votescount.com . Early voting kicked off on Monday. Voters can submit their ballots at the Santa Cruz County Elections Department or the Watsonville City Clerk’s Office up until Election Day on June 7th. (S.G.)
