MARINA DOG INSTITUTE APPROVED 10-21-10 19:30 a.v.

During a 4-to-1 vote this week, Marina City Council members approved a 50-year lease for a proposed education-recreation center for dogs on 21-acres of city land on a Fort Ord site. The lease approval comes after a 3-year effort by representative for the Institute for Canine Studies to secure a site for the proposed Marina development. The project includes dog parks and other facilities that will be welcome to the public. The project is expected to also include access for horse riders, hikers and bicyclists.
