2 men were arrested in marina early Saturday morning. that, after one of them allegedly assaulted a marina police officer. The officer had stopped near abdy way and cardoza avenue, after noticing a man trying to hide from him. 19-year-old matthew zapanta was spotted shortly after. He is accused of assaulting the officer during his arrest. After he was taken into custody, the 1st man was located, and also arrested. 18-year-old shane jones and zapanta were booked into monterey county jail.
