March 23 2017: SC Sheriff’s Office Volunteer Team    

(08:00) Santa Cruz – The Santa Cruz Sheriff’s Office celebrated 20 years with their volunteer team yesterday.  Last year over 100 volunteers donated over 17,000 hours of service, with a wage equivalency savings of over $400,000 to Santa Cruz County taxpayers.  Volunteers perform neighborhood security checks, assist with missing person’s cases, archive historical photos, and are out in the community helping with the departments new Child Safety and Home Crime Prevention Inspection programs.  For more information on the Santa Cruz Sheriff’s Volunteer team or to become a volunteer visit www.scsheriff.com
