(08:40) Santa Cruz – Santa Cruz Police arrested a teen gang member for possession of a loaded handgun and probation violation. The 16 year-old Santa Cruz gang member was seen by a patrol unit at 10:00 Saturday night, near Foster freeze on Laurel Street. Officers reported that when they approached the suspect he turned and reached for his waistband. Officers arrested the 16-year-old juvenile and charged him with probation violations, possession of a loaded firearm in public, possession of a loaded, concealed firearm and participating in a criminal street gang.
