March 10, 2016: Santa Cruz City Council Passes Resolution Before Cuts to Bus Service

(07:14) SANTA CRUZ – Santa Cruz city officials have passed a resolution in anticipation of major cuts to the Metropolitan Transit District. In September, Santa Cruz Metro will be looking to cut back services to address the agency’s $6.5 million deficit. This week, the city council passed a measure requiring the transit system to prioritize a number of city routes, including routes along Ocean Street and Soquel Avenue. The resolution also prevents the disruption of bus service on the UC Santa Cruz campus. (S.G.)
