A special “Passport Day” will be hosted tomorrow by The Santa Cruz County Clerk’s Office this Saturday. The 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. event will take place at the Simpkins Family Swim Center, located at 979 17th Avenue in the Live Oak area. Saturday passport hours are only offered once a year, normal passport acceptance hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Both parents must appear with children under the age of 16 in order to apply for a passport. Parents must show photo ID. Passport books are $80 for citizens under the age of 16, and $110 for citizens age 16 and over. The passport card is $30. Each applicant must also pay a processing fee for $25 per passport.
