A 26-year-old salinas man was sentenced friday, to life in prison without parole. julian Escobar was convicted last month of murdering 19-year-old angel Escobedo, during a shooting in Watsonville in 2009. escobar was also convicted of 4-counts of attempted murder. a 2nd man, jose avelino sandoval, was also convicted in connection with the attack.
