(18:01) SANTA CRUZ- Santa Cruz Mayor, Cynthia Mathews will seek a sixth term in office this November. Mathews has been a Santa Cruz resident since 1970, and served on the planning commission for 12 years before first becoming mayor in 1992. In November, Mathews will run against declared candidates, public relations specialist J.M. Brown, nonprofit CEO Drew Glover, artist Nathanael Kennedy community organizer Steve Pleich, Steve Schnaar and Santa Cruz County Office of Education project specialist Martine Watkins for one of four open seats on the seven-member body.
