(08:56) SALINAS- A Salinas helicopter pilot was killed during a crop dusting accident Saturday morning. The incident took place at about 8:15 a.m. when 67 year old Frank Gomes Jr. crashed the Bell 47 crop dusting helicopter he was piloting into a field near Blanco Road. Gomes was pronounced dead at the crash site. The FAA is investigating the accident.
