June 20, 2016: King, Arroyo Fires on Central Coast Near Full Containment

(07:16) CENTRAL COAST – Two wildfires that broke out on the Central Coast over the weekend are almost fully contained. The King Fire in San Benito County began Friday evening near Lewis Creek and Highway 198. The blaze has since burned nearly 240 acres. The fire destroyed two homes and two outbuildings.  A second fire broke out west of Greenfield on Saturday. The Arroyo Fire sparked near the intersection of Arroyo Seco Road and Elm Avenue and has since burned 70 acres.  As of Monday morning, both fires are at 90 percent containment. (S.G.)
