June 2, 2016: Carmel Officials Appoint New Council Member

(06:53) CARMEL – Carmel city officials have appointed a new council member. The council seat opened up in April after former councilman Steve Dallas was elected mayor. Nearly a dozen individuals applied to fill the vacancy. During a special meeting Wednesday afternoon, the city council voted unanimously to appoint Carolyn Hardy to the position. Hardy was formerly a foreman of the Monterey County Civil Grand Jury, and has served on a number of city boards and commissions. Hardy will serve the remainder of Dallas’ term then run for election in 2018. (S.G.)
