(07:30) Monterey – US Department of Homeland Security announced that A Salinas DREAMer detained by ICE will not be deported. Juan Manuel Martinez, was detained by ICE agents in March, after he was arrested by the Monterey County Sheriff’s deputies, for trespassing at the jail. Martinez was born in Guanajuato, Mexico and was brought to the US when he six-years-old. Martinez is a beneficiary of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program also known as DACA.
