(09:38) CASTROVILLE – Two people were arrested following a gang-related incident in Castroville Saturday night. Deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Speegle and Haight streets around 11 p.m. following a report of 20 people shooting guns into the air. At the scene, two suspects were apprehended after being seen with weapons in hand. A group of around 80 people converged on the deputies as they attempted to take the suspects into custody. The crowd was dispersed with the aid of several other Monterey County law enforcement agencies. The suspects were booked into county jail. (S.G.)
