July 6, 2015: PG&E Gas Line Replacement Project in Santa Cruz

(08:17) SANTA CRUZ – PG&E crews will begin work on a gas line in Santa Cruz Tuesday. The agency has announced that it will be replacing around 1800 feet of gas line on Mission Street at Emmett Avenue. The project will move east on Mission toward North Pacific Avenue and then north along Pacific to Bulkhead Street. The work is expected to continue into October from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays. The project is required due to the federal grand jury indictment of PG&E stemming from the 2010 San Bruno natural-gas explosion. (S.G.)
