(09:30) CENTRAL COAST – A trust has been established to help fund affordable housing projects across the Central Coast. The Monterey Bay Housing Trust is a collaborative effort between the Monterey Bay Economic Partnership and Housing Trust Silicon Valley. MBEP is aiming to raise $2 million, which will be matched with funds from Housing Trust Silicon Valley. As loans made to affordable housing developers are repaid, the Trust funds will be re-invested into other affordable housing projects. The Trust is an integral part of the MBEP’s overall housing initiative, which also includes a broad housing advocacy coalition. (S.G.)
