(07:20) Monterey – A husband and wife are missing after they were swept out to sea on Saturday. The incident took place at Bird Rock in Pebble Beach during a tour bus ride around the Monterey Peninsula. Firefighters reported that one victim fell off the rocks and into the ocean. The second victim jumped into the water in an effort to rescue the person who fell in. They were both were swept out to sea. A search effort by the U.S. Coast Guard and local fire departments was called off at sunset on Saturday .
