Improved Fireworks Show in Gilroy 6.29.2020 0530 js

 The City of Gilroy is taking their fireworks show to new heights.

Homes within 2.5 miles of Gilroy High School will most likely be able to see fireworks, thanks to the city launching them higher in the sky compared to prior years.

The show starts at dusk on the 4th of July, and the city is encouraging people to view the show from the comfort of their own home while following social distancing protocols.

The following closures are in effect starting Friday evening:

  • Uvas Creek levee between Miller Road and Luchessa Avenue
  • Street parking on the west side of Uvas Park Drive not allowed
  • Street parking on the south side of 10th Street prohibited
  • And Parking and gathering at Gilroy High School as well as the overflow parking lot will also not be allowed.
