Highway-1 just south of lucia was re-opened at 4:00 thursday afternoon, after cal-trans workers completed the removal of a rockslide that had blocked the road. Cal-trans spokesman jim shivers said both lanes of the highway are now open, and expected to remain open during daytime and overnight hours. Shivers said that there are still traffic controls in that area, as work continues on a construction project. That involves 2 temporary traffic signals to control 2-way traffic. The configuration is now back to what it was before the rockslide.
