Homeless Motel Funds-10/11/20-1653-PMD

The City of Salinas is moving forward with plans to convert a motel to a homeless center. The city has been awarded 9.2 million dollars as part of its Homekey program. The funding will buy and convert a motel to interim housing for the homeless. It will then be converted to permanent supportive housing in its second year. The project received  fund awards on Friday.
