A former Hollister sex offender contacted police on Friday. Last week Hollister police conducted compliance checks on known sex offenders. Two men were arrested for violating parole conditions. Authorities were unable to locate 50-year-old Martin Fernandez Guardado at his listed address and issued a public notice. A short time later Hollister authorities received a call from Guardado who has moved out of state and has fulfilled his registration obligations in that state. Convicted sex offenders are required to register within five days of their birthdays or when they move.
