Roadwork on highway 68 in salinas is set to begin on Sunday night, after a 1-week delay. The resurfacing project runs for a 5-mile stretch, from river road to work street. there will be lane and ramp closures from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. during overnight work. On Sunday, the project will begin at 7 p.m. during the day, the work will be done from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and until 3:30 p.m. on Fridays. There will also be reduced parking in downtown salinas during the project, which is set to be completed by the end of October.
