A health warning has been issued for 2 Monterey beaches after test results taken Monday reveal bacteria levels unsafe for human contact. San Carlos Beach in Monterey and Lover’s Point Beach in Pacific Grove were posted with the advisory yesterday after tests found higher than normal levels of bacteria. The beaches will remain posted until samples indicate that bacteria levels have returned to a safe level for recreational water contact according to state guidelines.
