Santa Cruz county is mourning the passing of a legend. Hal Hyde passed away last week… he was 97. Hyde was a founding trustee of Cabrillo College and became the inaugural vice chancellor of business and finance at U-C S-C
Mr. Hyde was a supporter of local scholarship programs and the co-founder of the arts council of Santa Cruz County. He was born in Watsonville in 1923 and lived with his wife Dorothy Hyde in Corralitos. A virtual memorial will be held for Hal Hyde at a later date that will be announced.
