Opponents of the proposed Santa Cruz rent control measure have raised $50,000 in funding to combat the measure. The group called Santa Cruz Together aims to raise more than $150,000 as the fall elections come closer. The group formed earlier this year in response to another group, Movement for Housing Justice. That group successfully gathered enough signatures to put the ballot to a vote.
