About a million pounds of frozen ground beef patties and bulk ground beef is being recalled due to possible E. Coli contamination. The products were produced out of the Modesto-based Valley Meat Company between October 2 of 2009 through January 12th, 2010, and were distributed to retail outlets and institutional foodservice providers in California, Texas, Oregon, Arizona and internationally. The products under recall have the establishment number “EST.82-68” inside the U.S. Department of Agriculture mark of inspection as well as a production code of 2-5-7-0-9 through 0-1-2-1-0.
