The paving project along seven-miles of Hwy. 1 from Aptos to the junction of State Route 9 continues with the overnight full closure of the southbound Hwy. 17 to southbound Hwy. 1 connector ramp for two additional nights, starting tonight, Tuesday night, June 2.
The contractor will start paving the #1 (left) lane at Emeline tonight, Tuesday, June 2, working their way southbound until just south of the North Aptos Underpass (south of State Park Drive). Tomorrow night, Wednesday, June 3, the grinding will start in The #2 (middle) lane at Emeline and work its way southbound, continuing with the paving operation. The contractor will then pave the remaining southbound lanes, starting at Highway 9.
The Southbound Fish Hook Connector ramp will be completely closed from 7 pm Tuesday, June 2 to 7 a.m. Wednesday morning, June 3 and from 7 p.m. Wednesday night to 7 a.m. Thursday morning, June 4.
