Due to the recent storms, the fire restrictions have been reduced somewhat in the Los Padres National Forest. Campfires and charcoal barbecues are now allowed in all designated campfire use sites in the los padres national forest. That said, people still need a permit to build a fire s outside of a designated campfire use site. Spark Arresters are still required on off-road vehicles, chainsaws, and other internal combustion engines and equipment. Fireworks are never allowed in the forest.
