Central coast communities struggling with the affects of the Corona Virus will get a helping hand from the federal government in the form of “community development block grants.” Congressman Jimmy Panetta announced the additional funding of nearly six million dollars earlier this week as part of the “Cares Act.”
The grants can be used for a variety of Covid 19 related hardships, including affordable housing for families suffering from loss of income as well as increased Corona Virus testing and additional P-P-E.
