(06:44) SALINAS – A man was fatally shot in Salinas Wednesday night. The shooting occurred shortly after 10 p.m. in front of the Wash N’ Dry Laundromat on the 300 block of Williams Road. 28-year-old Edgar Navarro was reportedly in front of the business when he was approached by an armed Hispanic male, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and dark pants. The gunman opened fire on Navarro before fleeing westbound on Grandhaven Street. Navarro was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators believe the incident was gang-related. The shooting marks the city’s third homicide of the year. (S.G.)
