February 20, 2017: Flash Flood Warning  

09:10) Monterey & Santa Cruz Counties – The National Weather Service issued flash flood warnings for Monterey and Santa Cruz Counties this morning.   In Monterey County, the warning issued runs though 1:00 p.m. today.   Anyone living or traveling on roads in the Soberanes Fire Burn area or along Highway 1, Palo Colorado Road and Old Coast Road, are warned to be alert.   In Santa Cruz County, a flash flood warning was issued till 1:30 p.m. today.  The San Lorenzo River in Felton began to rise rapidly with heavy rain fall prompting the warning.   Flash flood warnings may be issued in San Benito County as water levels of creeks and rivers continue to rise.   We will keep the public updated as more information becomes available.
