Crews are working to shift East Cliff Drive back away from the coast by about 8 feet. That’s because of the continued erosion of that section of East Cliff Drive. As part of the repair, handrails will also be replaced through that area. A city engineer says the work is a temporary fix for an ongoing challenge.
