A homeless shelter in Salinas has been damaged by plumbing leaks. Last week, the leaks were found in the floor and kitchen of Dorothy’s Place. The stove and walk in cooler have been removed from the kitchen, making it difficult for staff to store and prepare food. Repairs are expected to cost over $100,000 and will take around a month to complete. The shelter is currently accepting donations at dorothysplace.org/donate.
