(08:51) MONTEREY – Police are investigating an armed robbery that took place in Monterey earlier this week. The incident occurred shortly after 10 p.m. Monday on the 1000 block of Del Monte Avenue. A man reportedly approached a driver in a parked vehicle and took the victim’s wallet at gunpoint. He then fled on foot onto Lake Street. The robber has been described as a light skinned black male in his 20s with a stocky build. He was last seen wearing a black jacket and blue jeans.
