December 6, 2016: S.C. Man Arrested for LSD to Luke Smith

(10:10) Santa Cruz – A man was arrested for allegedly selling LSD to 15 year –old Luke Smith. According to a toxicology report Smith was high on LSD when he stabbed two family members. He was shot and killed by an officer after he advanced police with wielding knife.  The fourth suspect in the case, 28 year-old Nathaniel Trecaso, was booked into Santa Cruz Count Jail on Sunday.  Trecaso is accused of selling Smith the drugs the night before the incident.  He faces six felonies, two charges of solicitation of a minor for a controlled substance, two charges of manufacturing a controlled substance and two charges of possession of a controlled substance for sale.  He also will face two misdemeanor drug charges.  Trecaso was held in lieu of $150,000 bond.
