Cots were set up yesterday for some students and staff at Chualar Elementary School. That after a nearby levee broke, causing roads to flood and parents to not be able to pick them up. Highway 101 was closed in both directions due to flooding in that area. The southbound lanes re-opened before 8 p.m. last night, and the northbound lanes re-opened this morning.
8 people were displaced when 2 homes were flooded on Lincoln Street….and firefighters said they would be putting up a fortifying wall on Lincoln….downstream from where the levee broke.
