(09:05) Santa Cruz – Due to the fatal accident on Highway 17 yesterday construction work has been suspended till Monday. The California Highway Patrol reported that they are investigating the scene to determine what caused the accident and are interviewing witnesses. The Southbound lanes remain open in both directions. Motorists are being advised to give themselves extra travel time and to expect delays.
