Members of the California coastal commission have voted unanimously, in favor of naming Charles Lester the commission’s new executive director. Commissioners made the decision at their meeting on Thursday. Lester has been with the Commission since 1997, and has been serving as the Coastal Commission’s Interim Executive Director since last month, when Peter Douglas announced that he would step down, (due to health reasons).
