Don’t say you weren’t warned: The California Highway Patrol is about to begin its an annual Christmas Maximum Enforcement period.
Maximum enforcement begins at 6 p.m. Friday and continues through 11:59 p.m. Christmas Day.
Speed limit enforcement is the primary focus of the maximum enforcement period. Officers will also be watching for any signs of impaired driving. Maximum enforcement means all available officers will be out on the roadways for enhanced enforcement efforts and assisting motorists wherever needed.
