CHP Campaigning for Driver Safety this Super Bowl Sunday- 1/30/15 7:30 S.G.

The California Highway Patrol is reminding sports fans to designate a non-drinking driver this Super Bowl Sunday. The CHP is joining several other agencies, including the U.S. Department of Transportation and the NFL, to promote the campaign Fans Don’t Let Fans Drive Drunk. Officials say alcohol was involved in over 200 collisions throughout California on Super Bowl Sunday in 2012. Eight resulted in death and nearly 80 resulted in injuries. The campaign is urging the public to not drink and drive and to call 911 if they suspect a drunk driver.
