A man was arrested this weekend after leading c-h-p officers on a high-speed chase. 32-year-old manuel Ortega florez fled from officers Saturday night, after officers attempted to stop him on highway-1 (at freedom boulevard). Florez crashed at the riverside drive off-ramp, and was taken into custody. Florez was booked into santa cruz county jail on multiple charges, including an outstanding warrant, and battery on an officer or emergency personnel. Watsonville police officers also took part in the pursuit.
