Cadaver dogs were used yesterday to go through a Salinas building. That after the abandoned Soledad Street building was destroyed by a 3-alarm fire on Saturday. The building was known as “the swinging door”, and although it’s been officially abandoned for decades, homeless people have been known to camp-out inside it. The cadaver dogs were used to make sure there were no human remains inside. The cause of the 3-alarm blaze is still being investigated.
