With the 2014 Ebola epidemic being the largest in history, health services agencies around the Monterey Bay Area plan to participate in an Ebola response test this week. Thursday’s “test” is designed to strengthen the response to communicable diseases in general, and Ebola in particular. Although it is still believed that the risk of a major Ebola outbreak in the U.S. is unlikely, most health professionals say they would rather err on the side of caution.
