3-people were arrested thursday, following a residential burglary and a chase with police. Salinas police officers received a call at 10:30 a.m. about a burglary on the 5-hundred block of Cherokee way. officers began chasing the suspects on north main street after spotting their vehicle. The driver sped away, and entered highway-101. the chase came to an end when 18-year-old Abraham bocanegro crashed into the laurel drive exit sign. Also arrested was 19-year-old juan lopez, and a 16-year-old male juvenile. The suspects had allegedly been throwing drugs and jewelry from the vehicle as they were pursued. All are facing charges of burglary, evading police officers, conspiracy, and gang enhancements.
