(09:45) Hollister – A protest will be held today at the San Benito County District Attorneys Office in Hollister. Community members are gathering together to protest the DA’s decision to change the time of Michael Simas’s Arraignment on Friday. Simas’s is accused of fatally shooting 40 year-old Lisa Hall last Tuesday. Simas’s charges were reduced on Friday to voluntary manslaughter and carrying a loaded firearm. Community members will be protesting that the family should have been notified of the schedule change as well as to protest them dropping the charge of Destruction Of Evidence. The protest will be held at 4 p.m. today at 419 4th Street in Hollister.
