(10:00) Carmel – The California Attorney General’s Office filed a civil lawsuit seeking to recover thousands of dollars from two Carmel charities that they believe scammed donors. The Coast Equine Rescue and Retirement (CCERR) and Wounded Warriors Support Group (WWSG) are run by a family of four, that claim to rescue horses and support wounded veterans with therapeutic riding. The law suit states that the Gregory’s charities raised over $782,000 between 2014 and 2015 and spent the money on buying cars, traveling and paying off credit card debts.
